Coding the C64 (modern)

I'm not technical, but...If I skip forward from 1983 to around 2015, something odd happens. I stumble across a Commodore 64 emulator and a 6502 Assembler and think—maybe I could recreate a bit of what I used to mess around with back in the day.

No big project. Just a simple demo. Something that nudges the memory.

So I start piecing it together. VSCode has an extension-you gotta love the power of VSCode.

Somehow, in these times it seems so much easier to understand, and it just works.

It’s not flashy. But it feels right. It takes me back—way back—back in time. Like opening an old tape box and smelling the past.
